Outline plans have been submitted to Wokingham Borough Council for up to 111 homes on land north of Reading Road in Arborfield.
Agents for Dandara Southern Ltd & Elstree Land Ltd noted that appearance, landscaping, layout and scale will be reserved for subsequent determination.
A total of just under 40% of the homes are planned to be “affordable”, with the 67 private homes made up of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom properties.
Tim Cox, writing in objection to the plans, said: “The last thing Arborfield needs is another 111 houses and the additional traffic it will generate .
“The developments at the Garrison, and those proposed at Hall Farm, already over-provide housing in this area, and means Arborfield will no longer be a village but a small town .”
A consultation into the plans remains open until January 11, 2025.
