Our majestic Emperor Penguins
Are already paying the ultimate price,
Their downy chicks aren’t waterproof,
And survival depends on solid ice.
Last year the water wasn’t cold enough
In Antarctic’s Southern Ocean,
Experts are blaming Global Warming …
You know … that hypothetical notion.
10,000 penguin babies fell
Into that chilly South Pole sea,
Died of hypothermia or drowning,
But it’s got nothing to do with me.
I never push my thermostat up
When winter begins to bite,
Or jet off on foreign holidays …
I for one … always do what’s right.
