A BOWLING alley in Wokingham town centre has been the victim of a ram raid and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Police have cordoned off a large area outside the entrance to Wokingham Superbowl in Carnival Hub.
The incident took place in the early hours of this morning (Sunday, February 12), and is the second such raid in the town – a newsagent in Bean Oak Road was targeted at 3.30am.
This raid happened afterwards.
Staff today were seen sweeping up the mess. Police have not given any indication as to what the thieves made off with.
A spokesperson from Thames Valley Police said: “At around 6am this morning (12/2), we received a report of a ram-raid burglary at Wokingham Superbowl on Wellington Road, Wokingham.
“Police officers attended the scene, and are currently investigating.
“Officers ask for anyone with information to call 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference number 43230065618.
“Alternatively, provide information anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or via its website.”
