A WALKING group meets weekly in Wokingham, offering space for men to be together to walk and to talk about whatever is on their mind.
Run locally by Wokingham resident Simon Shaw, the group is part of national organisation Men Walking and Talking, which has around 50 walking groups operating up and down the country.
“People can come along, let off steam, and then go home again,” said Simon.
“We walk for about an hour, chat, and support each other.”
The group meets at Cantley Park car park each Monday early evening, taking in different routes around the area.
There’s no commitment to come every week, no pressure to talk, and no need to book.
“People are guaranteed a friendly hello, with no judgement,” said Simon, “and a relaxed walk of around an hour long.”
Men Walking and Talking meets weekly at Cantley Park car park (first car park on the right), on Mondays,at 6.30pm.
It’s for any men over the age of 18, and free to join.
