FAMILIES finding they have lots of sweet wrappers after Hallowe’en may be tempted to put them in the bin.
But these can be recycled along with plastic bags.
They can be dropped off, along with crisp packets and other soft plastics at most supermarkets.
Placed inside a plastic bag they can be dropped into the appropriate collection point for recycling.
Foil wrapping can also be recycled.
Do the foil test: if it stays in a ball when scrunched in the hand, it’s foil and can be placed in a home green recycling bag for collection.
The bigger the ball, the easier it is to recycle.
