A NEW arrival to Wokingham has joined the local Rotary club.
Troy Rahme, who has just launched a local branch of Re/Max, moved to the borough in December last year.
As one way of getting to know people and also giving back to the community, last week he was inducted into the Wokingham Rotary Club by its president, Margaret Balaam.
Mr Rahme is originally from South Africa, and said he wanted to join Rotary to make friends and have some fun and also meet some of the borough’s past and present business people.
Prior to launching his property business, Mr Rahme was a stockbroker and the owner of a successful recruitment agency.
His hobby and passion has always been in architecture, property and building conservation.
To make his passion a business, Mr Rahme studied and passed his Estate Agency Affairs Board Examination, also studying The Fundamentals Of Real Estate Management.
These are essential business qualifications in South Africa.
Deciding that his future lay outside of South Africa, He decided to buy a franchise from international property company Re/Max and has opened up in Woosehill.
