Wokingham borough council has said it works hard to maintain our roads throughout the year, including an annual programme of treatments like surface dressing and resurfacing.
It also has our gritters on standby for the winter to help keep everyone safe, with teams ready to head out at short notice.
However, Wokingham Borough Council sees more damage to our roads as water seeps into cracks and expands when it freezes, which weakens surfaces over time.
Most potholes or other damage can be reported online and it aims to respond to any non-urgent reports within 28 days. You can also track the progress of any reports you’ve already made.
You can call if it’s urgent on 0118 974 6000 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm) or on 0800 212 111 outside those hours.
An urgent issue is something like a deep pothole or anything that presents a trip hazard, which it aims to respond to within two hours.
