IT is nearly time to turn the clock back and the volume up for the nostalgia fest that is Rewind.
Taking place between Friday, August 19 and Sunday, August 21, bands and singers from the decade that fashion forgot will take to the stage at Temple Island Meadows in Henley for three days of music, food and of course, dressing up!
The Wokingham Paper will be at the festival all weekend, so if you see our reporters and photographers, give them a wave and say hello!
To make sure you have the best weekend possible, we have compiled all the essential information you will need to make sure your Rewind goes without a hitch.
How to get to Rewind Festival
By Road:
From M4 Junction 8/9
Take the A404(M) towards “Henley and Marlow”. Leave the A404(M) at the second junction signposted “Henley and A4130”. Turn left at the give way and go straight over the roundabout, again signposted ‘Henley’.
From M40 Junction 4
Take the A404(M) towards ‘Marlow’. At the first roundabout go straight over signposted “Henley and Maidenhead”. Take the next junction signposted “Henley and A4130”. Turn right at roundabout signposted Henley onto the A4130.
From Henley Town Centre
Go over the Henley bridge towards Maidenhead and go up the hill on the A4130. Henley can become very congested and we strongly recommend avoiding this route.
Disabled Parking
There is disabled car parking available to blue badge holders, located in both the day and camping car parks and close to the respective entrances. This is free of charge and does not need to be pre-booked.
A one-way system will operate in and around the festival site, follow signs from the A4130.
Parking is free and car parks are an approximate five minute walk from the campsite and arena.
By Rail:
The Nearest train station is in Henley-on-Thames, which is situated approximately 1.5 miles from the festival site. The walk from here is lovely, taking you along the riverbank.
By Bus:
Buses run to Henley-on-Thames from Reading, High Wycombe, Wallingford, Watlington and Maidenhead.
Times
The campsite opens at 2pm on the Friday, campsite car parks will open at midday. If arriving on Friday to access the campsite you must do so by 10pm
For weekend ticket holders The Silent Disco, Kids Zone, Funfair, Theme Bars, Restaurants, Food Outlets and Trade Village will all be open from 6pm on the Friday.
On Saturday and Sunday, car parks for day ticket holders open at 11am. The festival site opens at midday and the entertainment on the main stage starts at 2pm.
The campsite closes at midday on the Monday.
On Friday the arena will close at approximately midnight.
On Saturday and Sunday, the entertainment on the Main Stage will finish at approximately 10.30pm. The entertainment area will remain open on both days until approximately 1am.
Camping
You can camp for one night, two nights or three nights as long as long as you have a camping weekend ticket. The cost for camping is the same however long you stay.
For safety reasons you cannot park by your tent. Campsite parking is an approximate five to 10-minute walk from the campsite.
Neither caravans nor trailer tents are permitted on site; however there are a number of touring caravan parks nearby.
There is no limit to the size of your tent within reason, however please consider other campers and only bring the size of tent you require.
What You Can Bring
– If you are camping you can bring your own food and drink into the campsite only. No food or drink can be taken into the main festival site, but there are lots of great food units and fun bars. Note: No glass is allowed anywhere on site. Please decant any drinks into plastic containers.
– You can bring alcohol for personal consumption into the campsite, not into the main festival site.
– Fold up chairs and blankets are permitted, however if you intend to bring them into the arena they should not be used in the area between the stage and the mix tower. Note: Gazebos and large parasol type umbrellas are not as they restrict other festival goers’ views.
– You may bring a “domestic” camera however anything deemed professional (i.e. with detachable lenses etc.) is prohibited.
– Please do not bring any glass or sharp objects into the festival site and campsite.
– Small gas camping stoves are permitted in the campsite only, but please note BBQs, disposable BBQs and open fires are not.
– The sale or use of legal highs is banned at the festival.
– With the exception of guide dogs, no animals are allowed on site.
Disabled access
The accessible facilities onsite are for festival goers with permanent disabilities or impairments as stated in the Equality Act 2010. Broken legs, recent injuries or pregnancy do not qualify for these facilities.
Site Layout and Ground Conditions
Rewind South is accessible to visitors with mobility impairments as the site is mainly level access with a few slight inclines and short cut grass. There are some stone paths and metal trackways are used. Please take the weather into consideration when planning what to bring as it can have an impact on mobility due to muddy patches etc.

Medical Facilities
Rewind’s on site medical tent is well staffed with experienced crews 24hrs each day.
Toilets
Accessible toilets will be located at the viewing platform and at locations throughout the festival site.
Disabled Campsite Area
The disabled area in the campsite will have accessible toilets.
Please note: you cannot drive or park vehicles in the disabled campsite area. The organisers are unable to offer electrical hook-up to tents or campervans.
Viewing Platform
There is a disabled viewing platform located in the Main Arena. It is available for use by people where necessary and the access ramps will meet Building Regulations Part M:2004 gradient requirements. If you require seating on the platform please bring your own seat with you.
