The number of parking warrants issued in Wokingham increased by more than 160% between 2024 and 2025, data has revealed.
A freedom of information request to Wokingham borough council has revealed that 4,013 warrants were issued by Marston Holdings, Wokingham’s sub-contracted parking enforcement company, up from 1,511 during 2024.
That represents an increase of 165.58%.
The request also noted that 21.27% enforcement notices had been recovered to date in this financial year from all historical outstanding warrants.
A spokesperson told Wokingham Today: “Our enforcement agencies continue to trace and recover debt from warrants over the life of the warrant.”
