BRACKNELL Forest Council needs the borough’s help to identify offenders of two fly-tips in Warfield.
Both crimes took place along Wellers Lane.
The first fly-tip comprised mostly of roofing materials, dumped at 7.14pm on Sunday, March 1.
The Public Protection Partnership is appealing for anyone who may have information or dashcam footage, or who may have travelled along the Ascot Road around 7.16pm that Sunday.
The second fly-tip in the area contained materials from a cannabis farm clear-out, which was dumped on Tuesday, March 3.
The Team is appealing to the driver of a BMW which drove along Wellers Lane at 11.11pm that Tuesday evening.
They say the driver of the BMW may recall seeing a dark coloured VW Transporter van with two males in it, which was driving directly behind them..
The driver may have overtaken the van at the Folley Frost junction.
Anyone with any information or dashcam footage from either incident, is urged to contact the Public Protection Partnership on: 01635 503242. or to email: ehadvice@westberks.gov.uk, quoting the reference number SR132177.
Fly-tipping is not a victimless crime.
Every incident leaves a financial and environmental burden on the wider community, harming local residents, landowners and the public purse.
Not only does the illegal dumping of waste blight neighbourhoods and countryside, it poses risks to wildlife, pollutes land and waterways, and creates hazards for anyone living or working nearby.
Taxpayers ultimately shoulder the cost of clearing illegally dumped waste, while private landowners may face substantial clean-up expenses through no fault of their own.
Fly-tipping also diverts vital council resources away from essential services.
By treating our shared environment with respect and disposing of waste responsibly, we help maintain cleaner, safer and healthier places for everyone.
Bracknell Forest Council urges everyone to dispose of waste responsibly and to report fly-tipping to help keep the area clean and safe.
Those found guilty of fly-tipping can face fines and/or a prison sentence.
