In a statement issued earlier this evening, Thames Valley Police said:

“Thames Valley Police would like to thank the public for its help in tracing a missing 19-year-old woman from Reading.

“We are pleased to say that Nikita Bhatoa, who had been reported missing last night, has been located safe and well this evening.”

Nikita Bhatoa – known as ‘Nikki’ – was last seen in Prospect Park Hospital, Honey End Lane near Tilehurst around 8.30pm on Saturday, February 27.

Thames Valley Police are hoping that the public can help find the young woman, who is described as Asian, 5ft 3ins, medium build, with long straight brown hair and a silver nose stud.

She was last seen wearing a headscarf, cream or grey jacket, grey trousers, pale Ugg-style boots and a jacket with a fur collar. She was carrying a large black and brown handbag.

She has links to London and Kent and she may also be in the Sheffield area.

Investigating officer Det Insp Penny Mackenzie is leading the search.

She said: “We are concerned for Nikita’s welfare, as she requires regular medication and we do not know if she has some with her. However she is not a danger to the public.

“Nikita, if you read this then please get in touch with the police, you are not in any trouble we just want to ensure your safety.

“Anyone who has seen Nikita or knows of her whereabouts is asked to contact police as a matter of urgency via 101 quoting URN 1327 28/2.”
