Stunning post box toppers are part of Hurst’s Easter Trail displays on show until April 21.
Thanks to Hurst Hookers, knitted and crocheted Easter chicks are perched with their parents on the Lodge Road box, and there’s a floppy-eared Easter bunny on the box outside the former village shop and Post Office.
At School Road near the pond the Hookers’ enormous daffodil is proving a big draw. Other creative residents have organised displays outside or in the windows of their homes.
Maps for the trail are on sale at £2 at village pubs and in the Chaos and Cakes shop at Whistley Green. There will be a prize draw and a photo competition, along with a BBQ, at Hurst Cricket Club from 12 noon to 3pm on Easter Monday April 21.
