A SHINFIELD care home was transformed into the Wild West for a special summer event.
Parsons Grange, Westall Street, invited members of the community to join its staff and residents for its Country and Western Festival.
Guests put on their dancing shoes and do-si-doed to country music, and also enjoyed a hog roast prepared by the home’s head chef.
Rozina Ali, home Manager at Parsons Grange, said: “We were delighted to welcome the local community to our Country and Western Festival to party the afternoon away.
“It was a wonderful opportunity to open our doors to friends and ‘neigh’-bours in the community and show everyone exactly what life at Parsons Grange is all about.
“We loved getting our cowboy boots on and giving everyone a chance to showcase their best dance moves in true country style.
“Thanks to everyone who came and joined us. We cannot wait to welcome everyone back soon.”
The event was part of Parsons Grange’s Care Home Open Week celebrations, a national initiative that encourages care homes to open their doors and showcase what they have to offer.
