TWO teenagers who were determined to travel as widely as possible have smashed their fundraising target.
Last month, Addington School pupils Tom Scott and Vincent Miles undertook a charity challenge to travel through London using as many different methods of transport as possible.
Their epic feat saw them use bike, boat, bus, train, a high-speed lift and even a quick stop off at a real Police Box – aka a Tardis.
In all, they used 24 different types of transport.
They had aimed to raise £2,000, but they actually netted donations worth £2,320. This will be shared between four charities, Me2 Club, Addington Association, Challengers and Thumbs Up Club.
Tom’s mother said: “Being part of these charities has given the boys the confidence needed to take on this challenge.
“The boys have benefitted from these amazing charities so they are doing the London Transport Challenge to give a little back.
“They would like to thank Wokingham Paper readers for their generous donations and their messages of support.”
