Wokingham borough council has approved its Council Plan for the next five years.
Shaped by feedback from residents and partners, the plan supports the shared Communities Vision 2035 and focuses on four key themes:
-
Fair – making sure everyone has equal access to opportunities and services.
-
Green – protecting our environment and working together to tackle climate change.
-
Safe – helping everyone feel secure in their homes, communities and public spaces.
-
Connected – improving transport, digital access and community links.
The council has also adopted a new Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Policy for 2025 to 2029.
This policy strengthens our commitment to fairness and inclusion, making sure that these values are embedded in everything we do.
Together, these documents will guide how the council make decisions, deliver services and support its local communities.
A spokesperson said: “We’ll monitor progress regularly to make sure we stay on track and continue to meet the needs of our residents.
“Thank you to everyone who took part in the consultation and helped shape our journey to 2030.”
