A CHARITY will be turning Wokingham town centre blue this Saturday, February 19.
The Ollie Young Foundation will be in the market square to raise awareness of #feBLUEary and other challenges it is running throughout the year.
Saturday, February 26, is the 10th anniversary of Ollie Young’s death from a brain tumour. He was five years old.
His Mum, Sarah, launched the foundation to fund research into brain tumours so that the name of her son would not be forgotten. To date, it has spent £446,656 on research and support.
The #feBLUEary campaign aims to encourage supporters to share photos of them wearing blue clothes with the charity’s social media accounts.
Pictures can also be sent to: [email protected]
It is part of the charity’s 10 for 10 fundraising drive — a series of 10 challenges, one for each year since Ollie died.
