Wokingham’s historic clock on top of the town hall in Market Place has been fixed.
The time piece, which is understood to date back to 1860, ceased to operate during the recent warm weather.
Katy Hughes, town clerk, told Wokingham today that a specialist repair firm attended the Grade-II listed building, and discovered the clock had stopped working due to power failure.
The clock has now returned to normal working order.
