A BOROUGH village celebrated its champions at an award ceremony that brought together people from the worlds of business, community, and education.
The nominees for Twyford Together’s Community Awards 2024 met at The Royal Oak, in Ruscome.
Trustee and vice chair of Twyford Together, Rob Yeadon, said: “It’s a really great event.
“It not only brings the village together, but it gathers people in the community who wouldn’t ordinarily meet.
“We had teachers mixing with businesses, environmental groups, and community groups.
“When we receive nominations we send them out to the finalists so that they can see what people are saying about them.
“And everyone, the nominees, not just the winners, were telling us how encouraging and valuable this is, whether or not they receive an award.
“Everyone enjoys the ceremony, and hearing the lovely comments that have been made.”
