David Chopping, Conservatives

David Chopping has represented Maiden Erlegh for the past 16 years. In that time we have seen major investments in our roads, cycleways, parks and Leisure Centres.
The standard of education has been further improved with investment in our schools, both Maiden Erlegh itself, and latterly £3.8 million in expanding Loddon School.
Not afraid to “muck in” David has been out with the police, PCSOs and even our traffic wardens as part of the ongoing process of improving road safety especially around our schools.
David is the councillor credited with the creation of the Council’s own award-nominated Housing Companies,
which have provided affordable homes both to rent and buy, for 150 families, with another 250 in the pipeline.

Andrew lives on the Wokingham Road in Maiden Erlegh and is out every week speaking to residents hearing their ideas for making Maiden Erlegh a better place to live.
He is a music teacher in a local school and cares passionately about education and is deeply opposed to the cuts currently affecting schools across the borough and the country as a whole.
Tahir Maher, Liberal Democrat

Tahir was a member of Earley Town Council for many years and a former Lib Dem Group Leader.
He is well known in the local community where he’s worked with the Lib Dem team to improve Earley’s bus service.
Nationally he is Vice-President of the English Liberal Democrats.
