A CONTEST has been launched to name a new development in Wokingham – but you have to be quick as the closing date is tomorrow.
McCarthy Stone is launching the collection of one- and two-bedroom apartments for people aged 60 or over. Based on Reading Road, near to St Paul’s Church, the development is just about to begin.
The company will present £200 to the most relevant and unique recommendation before Monday, September 5.
Sam Watkins, divisional sales director at McCarthy Stone, said: “We’re confident that the site will become a popular option for those in the local area who are approaching retirement age or those who are already retired and looking to downsize.
“The development will also be a key part of the local community, and, for that reason, we can’t think of anyone better to name the site than a local resident.
“The chosen name needs to be relevant to the town, and it can be anything from ideas that honour local landmarks or scenery, to names incorporating elements of the town’s rich history.”
Those wanting to take part can email [email protected] with the proposed development name and the reason behind it.
The email’s subject header should include ‘Wokingham’ and the entrant’s name and contact details are present in the email.
