On Sunday, November 25, the first Winter Carnival will take place since Market Place reopened following the regeneration.
There will be a host of family friendly entertainment taking place across the town centre between 11am and 5.35pm, with stalls, games, morris dancing, reindeer, music, circus acts and plenty of surprises.
The event comes to a conclusion with first a festive jog, then the return of the Carnival procession after a year off. There will then be carols around the tree, and the laser light show which was so popular last year.
And if Leslie Crowther was patroning the festival, we’re sure he would say, “Come on down!”
