A GROUP of women singers in Charvil will be working on a medley of songs whose link is their composer.
American music maker Stephen Schwartz wrote hit musicals Godspell (1971), and Wicked (2003).
The Project Singers all-women choir will work on a mix of music written by Schwartz, including songs from Wicked, The Prince of Egypt, Pocahontas and Godspell.
The music group is currently seeking more female singers to join them on this, their mini summer project, which will see them rehearsing during June.
A Project Singers girl’s choir will also be working on songs from the musical Hairspray during the same month.
Adults will rehearse in Charvil Village Hall on Mondays, from 8pm to 9.30pm on June 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30.
Girls aged nine to 18 will rehearse at the same venue on Sundays, from 6.15pm until 7.45pm on June 8, 15, 22, 29, July 6 and 13.
