IT WAS a New Year to remember for a Winnersh resident after they scooped a top prize in a national contest.
The Woodward Close resident – who has chosen to remain anonymous – won a dream holiday.
Their prize was for £5,000 in holiday vouchers and £2,000 spending money.
And they were the only household from that postcode who had come up in People’s Postcode Lottery New Year’s Eve draw.
Offering her congratulations, People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt said: “What great news for our lucky Winnersh winner – it’s great they know they’re going into 2019 with a fabulous holiday to look forward to.
“I hope they treat themselves to the trip of a lifetime.”
The People’s Postcode Lottery donates 32% of each ticket to charity. The scheme has so far raised more than £382 million for more than 5,500 good causes.
This includes Inside Out, an education charity created to improve the wellbeing of young children through mindfulness, nature and horses. The group was awarded £20,000 last year to provide children with outdoor learning experiences aimed at improving their physical and mental health.
