Wokingham MP Clive Jones has been selected to play a Thunderbirds character in a forthcoming movie based on the iconic children’s show.
Esteemed Hollywood director Joe King spotted Clive’s appearance on stage at the Liberal Democrat Spring conference in Harrogate in March 2025, where he appeared in a Thunderbirds costume, a nod to his previous life working for a firm that imported children’s toys.
A total of 32 hour- long episodes of the television series were produced in 1965 and 1966, followed by two feature films released in 1966 and 1968.
Speaking to Wokingham Today, he insisted his role would not detract from his work as an MP, and that more would be revealed in a statement after noon today.
It is not yet known when the film, being produced by Gotcha! Media UK will hit the screens.
