A 15-YEAR-OLD Wokingham student has achieved the highest possible level within the Code Ninjas martial arts style coding programme.
Alexandre Lomondais joined Code Ninjas Wokingham in April 2021 and has progressed through the programme’s martial arts-inspired belt system.
His achievement is a significant accomplishment that reflects dedication, creativity and technical growth, say his tutors.
For his Black Belt project, Alexandre created a flight simulator game called Aerial Horizons.
Inspired by his long-standing interest in aviation, his project allows players to experience realistic flight controls and explore immersive virtual environments.
Alexandre said: “It feels really good to have reached this point.
“I’m proud of how far I’ve come and everything I’ve learned along the way.
“I wanted to create something meaningful, and combining coding with my interest in aviation felt like the perfect way to do that.”
Pranitha Furtado, centre manager at Code Ninjas Wokingham, said: “Alexandre has shown incredible commitment from the very beginning.
“Watching him grow from a curious beginner into a confident, capable coder has been genuinely inspiring.”
Code Ninjas Wokingham aims to teach young people aged five to 14 how to code in a fun, supportive and engaging environment.
The organisation hopes Alexandre’s success will inspire other young people in the area to explore coding and see how far their ideas can take them.
