A POPULAR Wokingham seafood restaurant will reopen on Saturday following a six-figure makeover.
The Loch Fyne branch on London Road has been closed from Monday, August 13, to allow a makeover to take place.
Its reopening on Saturday, from noon, will allow diners to see the refurbishment and sample dishes from the new menu.
Loch Fyne said that the restaurant, which used to be The Plough pub, will boast an updated interior scheme with new furniture, lighting and flooring designs – as well as a “stunning” gallery wall of images, revealing the history and story of the Loch Fyne brand.
And there will be an improved bar area for pre-dinner drinks, or simply a get together over cocktails and a selection of bar snacks, while a large outdoor dining area will allow guests to dine alfresco and make the most of the Great British Summer.
The menu includes breakfasts including Loch Fyne Kippers or Lobster Benedict with champagne as well as an À La Carte menu, which features Grilled Garlic Breadcrumb Oysters and Shellfish Platters.
And if cooks want to recreate dishes in the comfort of their own homes, they can also visit the firm’s in-restaurant fishmonger, offering a unique twist on a restaurant takeaway.
The firm says that all seafood has been sustainably sourced and, where possible, delivered fresh from Loch Fyne in the Scottish Highlands.
Mariana Vassileva, general manager at Loch Fyne Wokingham, said that she can’t wait to showcase the restaurant’s ‘Fyne’ new look.
She said: “We’re incredibly excited to relaunch at lunchtime on Saturday and can’t wait to open the doors!
“Loch Fyne Wokingham has always been a great destination, whether you’re visiting us for a long lazy lunch, family get together over breakfast or a big celebration.
“Our refreshed interiors and outdoor dining space have been designed to provide our guests with the perfect surroundings to relax and enjoy the best of what Loch Fyne itself has to offer.
