FIRE crews were called to Twyford in the early hours of Friday, August 18, to tackle a blaze in the woods.
The incident took place at 12.53am on Waltham Road, and Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service said it was a large fire.
Crews from Caversham Road, Wokingham, Bracknell and Maidenhead fire stations were sent to the scene alongside a water carrier and an officer.
They used one hose reel jet, two main jets and two ground monitors to extinguish the fire.
Firefighters were on the scene for approximately four hours and 45 minutes before returning to inspect for hotspots.
