Ooh la la! A taste of France has returned to Woodley for the first time since the coronavirus pandemic.
The Crockhamwell Road shopping precinct is full of traders who have come from France today to sell a range of Gallic produce including cheeses, breads, meats and sweets.
Everything is authentic and fresh, and is organised by France At Home.
Woodley Town Centre manager Brian Fennelly is delighted to see the return of the popular event.
“It’s fantastic to see our French friends back. They’re very keen to be with us and we’ve been actively promoting the event,” he said.
“The market is stunning, the kind of atmosphere, the smells you get and the sorts of products they have, they’re a bit different to what you can find in British supermarkets. It’s nice to have that flavour of France.
“It is all authentic stuff, this is not pretend France, this is the genuine French article that you’ll find in Provence when you go on your holidays.”
The market is open today until 5pm or while stocks last.
