PEOPLE can visit church buildings around Berkshire this weekend as part of Ride And Stride.
The annual event sees communities around the borough welcoming visitors to their historic building on a Saturday in September.
Those taking part in the event are sponsored to travel to a number of parishes between 10am and 6pm, raising funds for their own church buildings and for Berkshire Historic Churches Trust (BHCT).
People can travel on foot, by bike, on mobility scooter, horseback, bus, or if necessary, by car.
Each year (BHCT) awards thousands of pounds worth of grants to churches to help with the cost of repairs to the fabric of Christian churches in Berkshire.
The Trust’s aim is to encourage churches to make use of their buildings for the benefit of the community at large if this can be achieved without compromising the architectural quality of the church.
The date for the group’s Ride and Stride event this year is Saturday, September 9.
