A BOROUGH theatre group is working towards its April show; a new play.
Twyford Drama cast and crew are looking forward to revealing Traitor at The Beeches, which was written specially for them by Twyford Drama group member Kathy Reid.

Kathy also wrote and directed the company in a successful 2023 production of Fight them for The Beeches, and has had her plays performed also at South Hill Park and Progress Theatre.
Traitor, like its predecessor, Fight them for the Beeches, is filled with eccentric residents of Beeches Manor Residential home, including a belligerent Colonel, mystical Cassandra, and a glamorous and mysterious new resident who sweeps into the Manor leaving chaos in her wake.

“We’re all having fun witnessing these characters and their relationships come to life again,” said Joanne Davis from Twyford Drama.
“And behind the stage, our teams are already hard at work, creating ingenious secret hiding places where wheeler-dealer Walker can hide his ‘treasure’.
“We want this to be the best possible sequel to Fight them for The Beeches.
“We’re all having a great time piecing together this production, and we trust that audiences will love it.
“We can certainly promise plenty of laughs, twists and turns, dramatic reveals, surprises, comedic tussles, and a celebration of the joys of not acting your age.”

Twyford Drama traditionally performs in May and in October, with a pantomime in January.
The group rehearses in the Ruscombe Room at Twyford’s Loddon Hall, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 8pm until 10pm.
Their next production can be seen at Loddon Hall, on Thursday, April 30, and on Friday and Saturday, May 1 and 2.
Performances are at 7.45pm with tickets on sale, costing £10 and £12.
