MEMBERS of a borough film club can discover how people find purpose and direction after a serious accident.
Wokingham Film Society will screen The Rider, written and directed by Chloe Zhao.
It tells the story of a cowboy who finds himself unable to compete in the rodeo circuit, and whose brain injury forces him to look for a new purpose.
The event is presented in partnership with Headway Thames Valley, a borough charity that helps people to rebuild their lives after serious brain accidents.
The screening will be followed by a question and answer session with the charity and some of its clients.
The event will take place at The Whitty Theatre, Luckley Road, on Thursday, May 23.
Doors open at 6.45pm, with the film starting at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £4 for members, and £6.50 for non-members.
