A BOROUGH music group invites string players to join them for an afternoon of melodies.
Crowthorne Symphony Orchestra will hold a music workshop, which it says will be suitable for all competent string players.
Susie Henwood will direct the group’s Strings Workshop, and has selected Dag Wiren’s joyful Serenade for Strings (which may be recognised by some as the theme tune for this year’s BBC’s ‘Monitor’.
All competent string players are welcome, and need not be a member of CSO to play.
Tickets are divided into orchestral sections.
If a section is full, people are invited to join the waiting list, as groups will be expanded if the right number of instrumentalists apply.
Tickets cost £10 per person, and include cake and refreshments.
The event will take place at Oaklands Junior School, Crowthorne, on Saturday May 9, from 2pm until 5pm.
