WOMEN keen to sing Abba songs with a female voice choir can join a group in Charvil.
The Project Singers will be holding an afternoon of music, and will be working on Abba hits: Mamma Mia, Super Trouper and Money, Money, Money.
The songs are arranged for two part choir, with the afternoon led by music teacher and choir director Suzanne Newman, with Mary Daniels at the piano.
The group is also recruiting for their spring project, As Long As I Have Music, which will see the choir singing many of Suzanne’s favourite songs from the last 35 years.
Rehearsals will lead to a concert at Norden Farm Arts Centre, on Saturday, March 22, to celebrate Suzanne’s long-standing role as the group’s leader.
The women’s group rehearses at Charvil Village Hall on Mondays between 8pm and 9.30pm.
A group for girls aged nine to 18 rehearses in the hall on Sundays from 6.15pm until 7.45pm.
The Abba for female voices event will take place there, too, on Saturday, October 5, from 2pm until 4pm.
This session costs £12, including music and refreshments.
Places need to be booked and paid for in advance.
