Emmbrook School’s A-level results have been recognised in a House of Commons early day motion.
Wokingham’s Liberal Democrat MP, Clive Jones, congratulated the students and staff at Emmbrook School after its 2024 A-level results ranked in the top 1% cross the country.
Emmbrook School’s incredible performance was given a score of 1 on the ALPS grading ystem, the highest possible score which ranks the 2024 cohort amongst the top 1% in he country.
This is the first time Emmbrook School has ranked so highly, and Clive ones MP believes that this is due to the exceptionally hard work of students and staff alike.
Clive Jones, the MP for Wokingham, said: “I want to offer my congratulations to the Emmbrook School A-level class of 2024 for their truly exceptional results, which placed them in the top 1% of schools across the country.
“It is a remarkable achievement, and it demonstrates the immense potential within the oung people in Wokingham.
“The students and teaching staff at Emmbrook should all be incredibly proud of hemselves, and I have filed an early day motion in Parliament to formally recognise this ncredible achievement.”
Pete Whitehouse, senior lead for sixth form at Emmbrook School, said: I am full of immense pride and admiration for our sixth form after they achieved an LPS1 in their 2024 exam results.
“Being in the top 1% nationally is so well deserved for this year’s group, who were some f the nicest and kindest individuals.
“Their dedication and hard work paid off, showcasing the incredible potential within our sixth form. This milestone is a testament to our collective commitment to excellence and growth.”
David Constable, head of sixth form at Emmbrook School, said: “Working with the year 13 class of 2024 was a true honour.
“They were a hard-working, dedicated and caring group of students who put their heart and soul into their passion for education.
“The work ethic amongst the year group was outstanding, with students often going above and beyond to improve their understanding of the courses being studied. In addition, they were a selfless group, always wanting to help and support those around them.
“Ultimately, their attitude towards their studies was rewarded with an outstanding set of results. Working with the group during the two-year A-level journey was a privilege and an experience that will remain with me for the rest of my teaching career.”
