The Wokingham Poppy Appeal has launched a search for volunteers to help with this year’s collection.
Appeal organiser David Dunham said there will be collections at Waitrose and Tesco in Wokingham from Saturday, October 25, for the two-week duration of the appeal.
There will also be a pop-up shop at The Bradbury Centre that will open on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10am until 4pm, also starting on October 25.
He said: “We will be holding street collections on each Saturday of the appeal, and we will have a gazebo in Market Place from 9am to 2pm on October 25 to mark the launch of the appeal.
“We need a lot of help this year, and if you work for a company that offers charity day support then please speak to them.”
He also appealed for retailers and businesses who are able to host a poppy appeal collection tin and a poppy tray to get in touch.
