Reading FC Women are inviting fans to a special Community Day ahead of their league fixture against Woodley United Ladies on Sunday, 19 April. Kick-off is scheduled for 2pm at Slough Town FC’s Arbor Park.
The club has planned a full day of activities for all ages, with fans encouraged to arrive from 12pm. Supporters will have the chance to meet the first team during a signing session in the boardroom, take part in arts and crafts, or test their skills in the speed cage. the signing session will take place from 12pm-12:45pm.
In addition to the on-field action, Reading FC Women will be raising funds for the charity Breast Cancer Now, with donation buckets available throughout the day.
The Royals have enjoyed a much improved season in the Southern Region Women’s Premier Division under manager Ed Jackson-Norris, who joined as manager in the summer.
Reading currently sit in 6th position in the table but have games in hand on all the teams above them other than one.
The royals have won eight, drawn two and lost four of their 14 league fixtures so far this season.
Meanwhile, their opponents Woodley United sit just above the bottom of the table having collected seven points from 15 games. The have won two, drawn one and lost 12 of their league matches.
The club said the event is a chance to celebrate the local community, their loyal fanbase, and the team on the pitch, while supporting a worthwhile cause.
Tickets for the fixture are available online, with organisers urging fans to come along for “a brilliant afternoon of football and fun for the whole family.”
