Ton up for Treviranus as Kennedy names strong London Irish XV

OFISA TREVIRANUS will make his 100th London Irish appearance tomorrow.

The Samoan, who joined the club six years ago, is set to line-up at number 8 away at Doncaster Knights in the Exiles’ final regular league game of the season.

Nick Kennedy promised continuity in his side ahead of the play-off campaign and he has stuck to his word with just two changes in a XV which could well start in the semi-finals.

League leaders Irish beat Doncaster 19-0 on the opening day of the season and could make the trip up to Yorkshire again in just a few weeks time with Knights currently sitting fourth in the table.

The changes see Tommy Bell make his first start following injury at full-back while World Cup winner Ben Franks also comes back in with Fergus Mulchrone and Ollie Hoskins dropping out.

“Ofisa has been a fantastic servant for London Irish and everyone at the club is delighted that he has reached this milestone,” said director of rugby Kennedy.

“His experience has been vital for us this season and I’m sure he will be itching to mark his 100th outing with a strong performance.”

He added: “Doncaster will be a very stern test for us.

“They will certainly be fired up this weekend.

“Clive Griffiths has got his team very well organised and they like to play an expansive game, so it’s a game that we must approach with the right mentality.

LONDON IRISH XV: Bell, Lewington, Tikoirotuma, Brophy Clews, Cokanasiga, Tonks, McKibbin; Hobbs-Awoyemi, Paice (c), Franks, De Chaves, Sinclair, Coman, Cowan, Treviranus.
Reps: Porecki, Court, Hoskins, Lloyd, Gilsenan, Steele, Ojo.
