Andy Fry the former Chief Fire Officer for Berkshire received an OBE for services to the Fire and Rescue Service.
He stepped down from his duties last year.
In a statement, the Royal Berkshire Fire Authority said that it would like to extend its congratulations to Mr Fry.
“Andy joined Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service in 2015 as the Chief Fire Officer and Chief Executive, retiring in 2017.
“With 30 years service, Andy had previously served the people of Suffolk and Essex, in addition to making a significant contribution to the fire and rescue service on a national level.”
