A FESTIVAL of Nine Lessons and Carols will be held in a borough school chapel.
The story of the events leading up to the birth of Christ, will be told through nine Bible readings, Christmas carols, hymns and choir anthems, at Wellington College.
The Revd Laura Wheatley Downs will lead the service with Karen Phillips, Director of Music, and organist Stewart McSweeney will accompany the choir, The Cecilia Singers.
There will be a celebratory mince pie and wine reception after the service, which takes place in the college’s Chapel of the Holy Spirit.
Onsite parking is available, with members of Crowthorne, Sandhurst, and Bracknell Rotary Club, and the College Security Team, on hand to direct visitors.
Tickets are by donation of £10, with a limited number of donation-free tickets available for under 18s accompanied by an adult.
The event takes place at Wellington College, Crowthorne, on Friday, December 15.
Doors open at 7.15pm, with the service beginning at 7.30pm.
