Matt Miazga has become Reading’s fifth loan signing of the month.
The 23-year-old arrives from Chelsea, having spent the first half of this season in France on a temporary stay with Nantes.

An American international, 6ft 4in centre-back Miazga is the third signing of the week following Nelson Oliveira and Emiliano Martinez, with all three in line to make their debuts at Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday night.
Ovie Ejaria and Lewis Baker have also joined Reading this month.
As well as Nantes, Miazga has also spent time on loan at Vitesse Arnhem in recent years and has made two Premier League appearances for Chelsea since arriving in 2016 from New York Red Bulls. He has earned 11 caps for the USA, with the latest of those coming at Wembley against England in November last year.
The Royals are unlikely to add any further names to their squad, unless a senior player departs with speculation still rife surrounding Tiago Ilori’s future with Sporting Lisbon interested in the defender.
“Matt is a skilful, committed and commanding presence at the centre of defence,” said boss Jose Gomes.
“I am very pleased we have been able to welcome him into our family.”
Chief executive Nigel Howe added: “Having already sourced extra quality in the form of a striker, two midfielders and a goalkeeper this month, I’m delighted that Matt now arrives to bolster our defensive ranks for the final 18 games of the season.
“Committed to our cause, I am confident he will be a real asset to the first team dressing room for the remainder of the 2018-19 campaign.”
