Halloween is more than just trick-or-treating. This year, Wokingham Borough Council wants you to celebrate differently.
The Dinton Activity Centre will host two new activities that bring Halloween to the great outdoors.
There will be a two-kilometre pumpkin hunt adventure at Dinton Pastures, where you’ll hunt for hidden pumpkins along the trail.
From Saturday, October 26, until Monday, November 3, you can get a trail map and activity sheet for £2.50 at Dinton Activity Centre, so you can start a spooktacular journey around the country park with your children.
After completing the mission, you can return to the activity centre to get a sweet treat.
The activity is suitable for children of all ages, and all paths are wheelchair and buggy accessible.
Remember to get a map for each child, so everyone gets a treat.
Book online before you go. Tickets are valid for any day of the event and aren’t restricted to a specific date.
A special, night-time guided Halloween paddling session on Sunday, October 27, is suitable for adults and children aged eight and above.
Led by experienced instructors, you’ll embark on a spooky journey across Black Swan Lake on a boat of your choice – stand-up paddleboard, canoe or kayak.
It will be filled with fun, surprises and games set by ‘ghosts and ghouls’ along the way.
Wetsuits will be provided, however you are recommended to bring your own head torch and extra layers to stay warm.
