AN ART group held their autumn exhibition in Woodley at the weekend, with five awards up for grabs.
Woodley And Earley Arts Group members’ artwork was on display for two days, with the event enjoying a good number of visitors.
Treasurer and exhibition organiser Pat Birt said: “We were very pleased.
“The exhibition went very well, with a good footfall of 473 people, and lots of sales.”

Local artist Linda Saul came as an independent appraiser to judge the show, and chose three pieces.
Overall winner was Lynda Tolworthy for her, Sailing The America Cup.

And Saleel Zaman, with his fine ink drawing, Paij-Dur, and Chris Stainthorpe for her, Out Of The Blue were both highly commended.
The chair’s choice, the Brian King Cup, went to first time entrant Brenda Hooper, for her line and wash picture of The Bull at Sonning.

The public’s vote went to Paul Meneth, for his oil painting of Bowl Of Cherries.
“We’re a small, relaxed, independent group,” said Ms Birt, “and grateful for the support we enjoy from The Oakwood Centre, where we display our work.
