FILM lovers will be pleased to know The Cinema at Beech Hill is returning on Tuesday, September 26.
The community group’s 2023/24 season kicks off this month with a screening of Empire of Light, a drama about the power of human connection during troubled times, set in an English coastal town in the early 1980s.
Running once a month, the cinema will also be showing favourites such as The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, The Whale and I Wanna Dance with Somebody, Whitney Houston’s biopic.
Wine, beer and snacks will be available to purchase on the night.
Tickets are £5 for adults and £2.50 for children under 16 and include a hot or soft drink. Season tickets for all nine films are available for £35 and can be purchased at the first two film screenings in September and October.
Bookings can be made online, with cash or card payments also accepted on the door.
The screening takes place at 8pm at Beech Hill Memorial Hall, RG7 2BE. Doors open at 7.30pm.
