BLUEBIRD Care Reading, Wokingham, Windsor, Maidenhead and Bracknell came together to organise a colourful fundraising event.
Their Wear It Green day was designed raise awareness and funds for the Mental Health Foundation.
Team members who wished to participate contributed £2 each for the opportunity to wear green to symbolise their support for mental health awareness.
The event also featured a cake sale and a Sweet-Stake game, and raised a total of £179.
Sharon Cleary, supervisor for Bluebird Care Windsor, Maidenhead, and Bracknell, spearheaded the initiative.
She said: “’Wear It Green Day’ is a chance for us all to show our dedication to supporting mental health initiatives.
“Every little counts, and the team’s efforts will help the Mental Health Foundation continue its vital work and make a real difference in the lives of those affected by mental health challenges.”
The Mental Health Foundation is dedicated to improving prevention and treatment for the one in six people affected by mental health issues every week.
The funds raised by Bluebird Care will contribute to the foundation’s ongoing research and development of solutions aimed at improving care and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health.
A representative from the Mental Health Foundation, said: “No-one living in the UK should be deprived of the opportunity for good mental health because of who they are, the place they come from, or where they live.
“We’re developing better ways to support good mental health in every community.
“The money raised from Bluebird Care’s ‘Wear It Green Day’ will directly support the Foundation’s mission to challenge mental health stigma and encourage a mentally healthy society.”
