FIRE crews from three stations were sent to help rescue a sailor whose boat had got stuck in flood water.
Members of Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Services were called at 9.59am on Monday, January 8, to Temple Island in Ruscombe.
They came from Wokingahm Road, Wokingham and Windsor fire stations. There was also an incident command unit and crews from Oxfordshire County Council Fire and Rescue Service.
Once on scene, they helped rescue the person on the boat, before taking it to a secure location.
In all, they were on the scene for an hour and 20 minutes.
