Students at Bohunt Wokingham# are celebrating today after receiving their best ever GCSE results.
The school has described their results as ‘game changing’. 85% of students have achieved a grade 4 or above in English and Maths, whilst almost 70% achieved grade 5 or above in both of these subjects. Additionally, of all the grades achieved, more than 1 in 3 were awarded at grade 7 to 9.
The 2024 cohort have achieved some of the best results in the School’s history, demonstrating great resilience, commitment and determination during their time at the school.
The accomplishments of students were celebrated across the board. Particular highlights include:

– Yasmin C who successfully achieved grade 9s across 10 subjects.
– Matthew S who successfully achieved grade 9s across 9 subjects.
– Ella R who successfully achieved 8 grade 9s and 2 grade 8s.
– Ethan T who successfully achieved 7 grade 9s and 2 grade 8s.
– Mary R who successfully achieved 7 grade 9s, 1 grade 8 and 2 grade 7s.
Chloe H achieved ‘exceptional’ GCSE results whilst undertaking training and trials with team GB for rowing and competing for Henley Rowing Club through the Summer Regatta.Jen Comber, Headteacher at Bohunt Wokingham, said:
