BRACKNELL TOWN were dealt a blow by title chasing Truro City in a 3-0 loss at the SB Stadium.

The visitors took the first corner kick of the game but it was headed clear by a Robin’s defender.

Truro took a free kick that went out of play and Tack passed onto Sanders who made Hamon, Truro keeper, get involved in the game with a save. At the other end, Will Dean had a pot shot go over the top.

Neal found Sullivan who chipped the ball across to Greenslade close by the goal and headed the ball home without too much bother to make it one nil after half an hour played.

The Robins pressed hard and brought out a fine save from the keeper with his foot to deny an equaliser and within two seconds, Will Dean headed the ball off the line as Truro ended one up at half-time.

After the break, Bracknell pushed upfield and a corner kick was conceded by a deflection from a Bracknell attempt at goal.

Hamon made a top save pushing away the ball from a header that would have been a certain goal. After six minutes of the second-half, Truro were able to convert a cross by Neal which was deflected although Greenslade had sufficient time to shoot and add a second to the tally.

With 20 minutes to go, the Robins provided strong opposition still and did everything except score.

A double substitution added fresh legs for Bracknell when Tack was replaced by Hollis and Grant was replaced by English.

In the 75th minute Neal was assisted by Sullivan and his shot beat Eacott to add another goal to the score -line.

Bracknell made the additional time count but every moment of pressure had the same conclusion that the ball was not going into the goal.

The Robins piled on the pressure but were flagged offside and s positive attack preceded a free kick but Truro had a chance to escape again and Sullivan made a good effort with a scorching run but the ball flew over the crossbar.

The counter attack had the Robins striking three times in as many seconds and the keeper made two superb saves before the ball was headed off the line.

The result leaves Bracknell in third, still in a healthy position to secure a play-off spot with games in hand on all the teams around them.
