And back to normal…
The following day, Saturday, January 2, the timetables return to normal.
Jake Osman, Marketing and Communications Manager for Reading Buses, said: “We have looked carefully at previous years’ demands and think that we have got the service level spot on this year.
“There are plenty of buses for people who are still working and more than enough for those visiting friends and family, doing a spot of shopping or even just sampling the Christmas spirit.”
He added: “And, between December 19 and January 4, our group ticket is only £5 [in the Reading area] which earns lots of savings for people travelling together which is, of course, safer too.”
