A WOKINGHAM school’s Christmas event will not be forgotten by those who gathered to enjoy it.
Holme Grange’s Living Nativity featured not only the singing of carols, and a performance of the Nativity story by year 6 pupils, but also live donkeys and camels.
The event brought together pupils, staff, families, and members of the local community in a magical celebration of Christmas spirit and tradition.
Guests were treated to an unforgettable journey through key scenes of the Nativity story, complete with live animals, traditional carols, and performances by the pupils.
The camels and donkeys, seen against the backdrop of the school’s grounds, added a truly memorable touch, and audience members will not forget in a hurry the unusual blend of storytelling, music, and close up encounters with the live animals.
Reflecting on the success of the Living Nativity, Mrs. Claire Robinson, Head of Holme Grange School, said: “The Living Nativity was a truly special experience.
“Seeing the awe and wonder in the faces of our pupils and visitors reminded us of how unique our community is.
“Who could forget the joy of seeing camels and donkeys as part of this magical event?
“Events like this bring people together in the most inspiring way, and we are so proud of the joy and inspiration it brought to everyone who attended.”
Visitors to the event were able to enjoy festive refreshments, including mulled wine and mince pies.
Holme Grange extends heartfelt thanks to all who attended, as well as the staff and pupils whose dedication and enthusiasm, organisers say, made the event a resounding success.
