MEMBERS of a self advocacy group for people with learning disabilities in the Wokingham borough have been fundraising for others.
Last week, CLASP opted to support the BBC’s official charity, Children in Need.
A creative start to their activities saw CLASP members at their weekly Craft Club producing Pudsey paintings, necklaces, puzzles and spotty pebbles.

On Thursday the Pudsey pebbles were hidden for others to find and enjoy at Dinton Pastures.
And then on Friday the CLASP Choir sang outside Waitrose, Wokingham.
“They raised their voices in the rain,” said Michele Munroe, “but spirits weren’t dampened, and we managed to raise an awesome £280 thanks to the generosity of the Wokingham community.”

CLASP is run by and for its members.
It employs people with learning disabilities and offers voluntary opportunities, while supporting its members to have their say about how local services are developed.
The group also provides one-to-one support, information, advice and signposting.
